Obituary of Debra Ann Duemmel

Sodus/Ontario, New York Debra Ann Duemmel (Fernaays), 63, of Sodus/Ontario passed away Sunday, June 26th, 2016. She was surrounded by her loving family after fighting a courageous battle with diabetic complications. She is survived by her loving husband, Raymond; daughter Rebecca (Ed) Camp; son William (Julia Wilchenski); sisters Cindy (Tommy) Guile and Jeannie Fernaays; brother Guy Fernaays; her greatest pride and joy, grandchildren, E.J. (Jacie Trine) and Megan Camp; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her wonderful parents Ralph “Bob” and Elsie “Piper” Fernaays. Debra was an amazing woman. Her tireless work with Wallington Fire Department as a Ladies Auxiliary Member kept her happy. She will be greatly missed not only by her family but by many in the community. Many have known her as Grandma Debbie, as she loved all of the children in the community. She unfortunately was not able to make it to her new house in Ontario, that was recently purchased for her. Please join us in celebrating her life at Norton Funeral Home, 45 W. Main St. in Sodus from 2-4 and 7-9 on Friday, July 1st, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9th, 2016 at 11 AM at the Harvest Fellowship Church, 5790 Route 104, in Sodus. Burial will follow the funeral services at the Lake View Cemetery in Pultneyville. The family invites you to join them to celebrate Debra’s life at the Wallington Fire Hall, 7863 Ridge Rd in Sodus immediately following the committal service.
