Joseph Slack passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the age of 102.  He was born on June 11, 1915 to Thomas and Maria Slack.  Joseph was predeceased by: his loving wife of 46 years, Margaret Karges Slack, brothers John W., Bernard and Frank Slack.  He is survived by his son William H. (Carole), grandsons Eric W., Shawn M. and Ryan J., three great-granddaughters Abbey, Madeline Margaret and Kierra, special niece Peggy Misch, special nephew Danny L. Slack along with several nieces and nephews.

Joe was a WWII Navy Veteran,  a retiree of the Brighton School District where he was the Business Manager and a member of the Wolcott Elks Lodge #1763 for 59 years.

Friends may call on Tuesday July 11th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford St., Wolcott where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 12th  at 1pm.  Interment will follow at the Huron Evergreen Cemetery in Wolcott.  In lieu of flowers, Joe had a prerequisite for contributions to be made to the Cerebral Palsy Fund in care of the Wolcot Elks Lodge #1763, 6161 West Port Bay Rd., Wolcott, NY 14590.
