Many musicians could learn from how you lived as a player and as a person. You've meant more to so many people than you would ever know. Your memory will live on, John.

I met John last summer at ElderOne in Newark. Gabe Verkey and I play music there once a month to entertain the clients. When we finished John came over to me and the staff told me who he was. He enjoyed my rendition of Duane Eddy's 3:30 Blues that I played on my 1959 Fender Jazzmaster Guitar. I bought it new when I was 12 years old. When I got home that evening I looked John up on YouTube. I was blown away by him and his band. And he was also playing a Fender Jazzmaster Guitar. John and I have life stories so much alike in reference to our musical careers! I wish I could have met John when we were young. I would have loved to been able to make music with him. He was a fantasticly talented man and will be sorely missed. RIP my friend until meet again.

John was such an inspiration to me. I was a young girl when I first heard him play and from that moment on I was hooked. It was a privilege to know him. One of the highlights of my life was promoting the John Cole Blues Band John will live forever in my memories and through his music. My thoughts are with his family at this time. With love, Susan
