Sodus: Passed away at age 95 on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Newark Wayne Hospital, surrounded by family.

Daniel was loved by many. He spent 6 years in the military representing both the Army and Navy. Daniel worked as a milkman before working for Seneca Foods Cold Storage, where he retired from.

Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Mary Cooper; his brother, James Cooper; son, Steven Cooper and daughters, Debbie Chappell and Patty LaMore. He is survived by his sons, Gary Cooper, Jody (Kathy) Cooper; daughter, Christine (Nate) Cianciola; grandchildren, Brittany (Carlos) Banks, Joshua Cooper, Jason Cooper, Shawn Cooper, Travis Chappell, Bridget Chappell, Jamie LaMore, Nicole LaMore; numerous great-grandchildren; along with his cat, CC and dog, Bernie.

Friends and family are invited to call 1pm – 2p, Friday, September 30, 2022 at Norton Funeral Home, 45 W Main St, Sodus, NY 14551. Interment in Sodus Rural Cemetery with military honors at 2:15pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in his memory to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1475 County House Rd, Lyons, NY 14489 or the American Legion Post 394, 6206 State Rte 21 Williamson, NY 14589.
