Obituary of Patricia L Steinrotter

Sodus: On Friday, November 18, 2022, Patricia L. Steinrotter, loving wife, mother, and Oma, passed away suddenly at home at the age of 78.

Patricia was born on March 3, 1944, in Mont Nebo, Saskatchewan, Canada to Henry and Ada (Piche) Letendre, where she spent her childhood and school-age years in Mont Nebo on the farm with her brothers and sisters. Around the age of 18, she met the love of her life, Willi (Fiffi) Steinrotter, in Calgary, Alberta. They shared 58 years of marriage, ultimately moving to Sodus, NY, where they went on to create a beautiful life together having two children and three grandchildren who she was devoted to.

When she was not working at Dynalec, she and Fiffi ran Brantling Ski Slopes in Sodus, NY for forty years curating a ski community where everyone felt welcomed. Throughout their time together at Brantling they had the opportunity to shape the lives of many young skiers and form lifelong friendships, many of whom she enjoyed spending time with off the slopes. She loved getting everyone together whether it was for Euchre tournaments, Mardi Gras or Bavarian Day celebrations, ski trips to Germany, golf outings, or hosting dinners at home.

She had many joys in life, but nothing made her happier than spending time with her family and friends all who loved her dearly and will miss her loving personality, sense of humor, adventurous ways, and fiercely competitive spirit.

She is survived by her loving husband, Willi (Fiffi); daughter, Michele L. (Steinrotter) DiMarzo and her husband, Steven; granddaughter, Angelina of Pittsford, NY, and son, Willi Steinrotter and his wife Jamie (Bennett); granddaughters, Emmie and Ava of Potsdam, NY. She is also survived by her sisters Margaret and Emma; brothers Victor and David; and many relatives and great family friends. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Peter, George, and Paul; sisters Elise, Jean, and Paulette.

Friends and family are invited to call 4:00pm – 6:00pm, Wednesday, November 23 at Norton Funeral Home 45 W Main St, Sodus, NY 14551. There will be a Celebration of Life at Brantling Ski Slopes, 4015 Fish Farm Rd, Sodus, NY 14551 at 3:00pm on Saturday, December 3, 2022. There will be a prayer service at 3:00pm followed by food, live music, and euchre for all those who are interested.
