Please accept my condolences on Mr. Weigartz's passing. I am very saddened by this but trying to think about the fond memories with Stub...fishing, working at the camp and many of the family events/trips over the years. He was a great guy and shared a lot with others including me. He will be missed and I won't forget him.
Sincerely,
Kurt

Hi Becky and Family,
I was last Asst Director, Program Director at Beechwood in the '70's and early '80's but also there as a camper, counselor and leader before that and after. Stopping to see Stubby was always the first thing I did. I am so sorry to hear of his death and I am sorry for your loss. Beechwood and all of us were lucky to have him care for us for so many years. Wishing you peace and Stubby that vacation he would never take!

So sorry for your loss. I remember so many Decembers when Stub cheerfully brought in a Christmas tree he had just cut for the primary school students to decorate in the foyer of our school. While I was secretary there, students and staff always referred to him as "Santa's special helper."

So sorry to read of Harold's passing in the Olean Times Herald. My sister Cheryl and I were just recalling our youth at the racetrack with our friends Hank and Rhonda while our dad Will Brown was mechanic on the race car Stubby drove at that time. I have a photo of that car and wrote a column about those fun days in a racing magazine my newspaper in Michigan published where I covered Nascar races at Michigan International Speedway. I recently retired and came back to Ny. While out at the track I often thought of my dad and Stub and those early racing days. Thoughts and prayers are with you. Deb.
