Hershey, PA: Formerly of Sodus, NY and Lanham, MD, on August 26 at his home. Gary is survived by his mother, Florence Powers of Sodus; siblings, Patricia Karp of Chevy Chase, MD, Mary Sue (Gregory) Switzer of Sodus Point, Judith Powers of Chevy Chase, MD, George (Beth) Powers of Yorba Linda, CA; nieces and nephews, Laura Brown, Melanie LeFave, John and Holly Powers; 5 great-nieces and nephews; aunt, Edith Rawden of Sodus; several cousins and many friends. Gary retired from the Internal Revenue Service in Washington D.C. where he had been employed for 30 years.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Sodus on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 1 p.m. where a reception will be held immediately following the service.
